Sunday’s Sermon by Pastor Paul
Today’s message by Pastor Paul was a timely reminder of the spiritual truths that often go against the grain of the world we live in. Anchored in Proverbs 22:4, he shared:
“Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth, honor and life.”
In a culture where ego often commands attention and arrogance makes headlines, Pastor Paul reminded us that true impact is found in humility. While the proud may seem to rise quickly, it is the humble who leave a lasting difference. This is echoed in James 4:6:
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
He also spoke on the importance of honoring God — not just in speech but through our daily actions. Central to this is the fear of the Lord. Not a fear that causes us to cower, but one that keeps us close to His presence. Pastor Paul clarified that fearing the Lord isn’t about being afraid of Him, but about being afraid to be away from Him. This was illustrated through Psalm 51:11:
“Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.”
He cautioned us not to quench the Spirit’s fire — to remain sensitive and surrendered to God's presence in our lives.
In closing, Pastor Paul returned to the heart of the message: humility and the fear of the Lord lead to abundance, honor, and meaningful living. As Psalm 34:10 encourages us:
“The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
This week, may we seek Him wholeheartedly, walk humbly, and stay close to His Spirit — for in doing so, we will lack nothing truly good.

在当今社会，自我常常博得关注，傲慢也频频成为头条。但牧师提醒我们：真正有影响力的，是谦卑的人。骄傲可能带来短暂的成功，唯有谦卑能带来长远的改变。正如雅各书 4:6所说：
“神阻挡骄傲的人，赐恩给谦卑的人。”
牧师也再次强调，我们要以言语与行为尊荣天父。敬畏神是我们信仰生活中不可或缺的一部分。他特别指出，所谓“敬畏神”，并不是害怕神，而是害怕远离祂的同在。他引用了诗篇 51:11来说明：
“不要丢弃我，使我离开你的面；不要从我收回你的圣灵。”
我们要谨慎，不可熄灭圣灵的感动，常常存敬畏之心，紧紧跟随主的带领。
在证道的最后，牧师重申，谦卑与敬畏神的心，必带来丰富、尊荣与生命。正如诗篇 34:10所说：
“少壮狮子还缺食忍饿，但寻求耶和华的，什么好处都不缺。”
愿我们在新的一周，殷勤寻求主，存谦卑的心行事，为祂而活，靠近祂的同在——因为在祂里面，我们必不缺乏一切美善。
