Sunday Sermon by Pastor Maggie
On April 27, Pastor Maggie led us into a powerful reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus — a central miracle in the Christian faith. She reminded us that the Bible contains at least ten accounts of people witnessing the risen Christ, affirming the reality and wonder of His resurrection.
One of these accounts comes from John 21:3–7, where the disciples had returned to their old routines, uncertain of what to do next. Peter says, “I’m going out to fish.” Yet, in the midst of this ordinary activity, a miraculous encounter occurs. When they saw the abundance of fish after following Jesus’ instruction, John exclaimed, “It is the Lord!”
Pastor Maggie invited us to pause and reflect: How did Jesus’ followers recognise Him?
She shared three insights:
They were inspired by the Holy Spirit
They were familiar with the way Jesus conducted himself
They had complete faith in Him
In John 21:10–11, Jesus tells them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” And Simon Peter responds by dragging a net full of 153 large fish ashore — so full, yet miraculously not torn.
This moment reminds us: when we follow Jesus, He blesses us abundantly. Even in our uncertainties, routines, or feelings of loss, God meets us — not just with comfort, but with overflowing grace.
Pastor Maggie ended with a reassurance that in times of doubt or wandering, our loving God continues to bless us with abundance. He is present in the everyday. And when we learn to see through the eyes of faith, we too can say with confidence, “It is the Lord!”

在约翰福音 21:10–11中，耶稣说：“把你们刚才打的鱼拿几条来。”西门彼得就去，把满网的大鱼拉到岸上，一共一百五十三条，鱼虽多，网却没有破。
这一幕提醒我们：当我们跟随耶稣时，祂必赐下丰富的恩典和祝福。即使在不确定或迷失的时刻，神也会亲自介入，以祂的方式显明祂的同在与供应。
Maggie 牧师最后提醒我们：
在疑惑或迷茫之中，慈爱的上帝仍然乐意赐下丰盛。祂就在我们每天的生活中。若我们用信心的眼睛来看，也能像门徒一样满心喜悦地说：“是主啊！”
